Maybe it’s the hot weather getting to me a bit but, here are 5 things that have been pissing me off this week…
Caps attached to bottles… the latest nanny-statism, designed to make sure we don’t throw away the lid off a bottle of orange juice as they can be dangerous to dolphins and fish in the sea. Not sure how many dolphins would be harmed if I discarded that bottle top in Asda’s car park.
England fans… not all England fans, just those who generally hate football day-in, day-out but wheel themselves out once every four years to yell “Come on, England!” and spontaneously burst into a chorus of Sweet Bastard Caroline.
Wimbledon fans… even worse than fake football fans, because we have to suffer them every single year. Sitting there ooh-ing and aah-ing at every single shot then giggling like little schoolgirls if something “funny” happens; like someone catching a stray tennis ball in the crowd. Grow-up, for God’s sake!
Wannabee Ronaldos… dickhead, chav lads strutting the streets bare-chested or, worse still, wandering into the pub with a tee shirt casually thrown over the shoulder. Put your kench away lad, you look more like Cess Pit than Brad Pitt. And pub landlords… get it banned!
Joan @ Asda…I say Joan, but I use this as a generic name for the people who work on the Create Your Own Pizza counter at Asda. When the store is open 24 hours a day, how come you can only start work at 11 o’ clock, knock off before and 5 and apparently need more ten-minute breaks than a Fijian pearl diver? Do a full day’s work!
See you on the sun-lounger, Griff
